FORCE OPEN SEASON IN PITTSBURGH

Force play their first two games against the Chicago Steel and Madison Capitols, respectively.

FARGO, N.D. - The Force begin the highly anticipated 2022-23 regular season schedule with games against two Eastern Conference teams in the DICK'S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic, held at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania over the next few days.

Head Coach Nick Oliver and his staff look to start the year on a high note this Thursday at 4:30 PM CT against the Chicago Steel. The following night, they face off against 2022 Eastern Conference Champions, the Madison Capitols at 7:30 PM CT.

The Steel are looking to follow up on what was a great regular season in 2021-22, where they led the Eastern Conference in points. The Steel have multiple returners from last year's squad, highlighted by Nicholas Moldenhauer, Jack Harvey, Jake Livanavage, and Anthony Dowd.

Madison is the second team looking to follow up on their success from last season. The Capitols battled their way to the Clark Cup Final, ultimately falling to the Sioux City Musketeers. Quinn Finley, Nathan Lewis, Matt McGroarty, and Nick Wallace are just a handful of key returners that are back with the Capitols for the 2022-23 season.

Fargo is equipped with a strong crop of returners as well, including 2022 Ace Brandt MVP & Forward Of The Year, Bret Link, Fargo Force Rookie Of The Year Cole Knuble, along with Force Defenseman Of The Year, Joe Palodichuk. Other returning forwards include Tanner Walos, German Yavash, Tyson Gross, J.P. Turner, Dakota MacIntosh and Force veteran Kyle Smolen. Jakob Stender rounds out the returning defensemen, plus two seasoned netminders, Matej Marinov and Anton Castro.

The Fargo newcomers are a Force to be reckoned with too. Forwards Noah Eyre and Anthony Menghini put up big numbers for the Black & Blue during the preseason. Some of the newbies to watch on defense include the Force's #1 pick of Phase II of the USHL Draft, Leo Gruba and former Muskegon Lumberjack, Jacob Napier.

All Force games will be streamed at https://www.flohockey.tv/. Chicago has a Mixlr stream that can be tuned in to for FREE! Force Home Opener is Saturday, October 8th at 6:05 PM, CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS!
