FORCE ANNOUNCE ALUMNI COREY LEIVERMANN AS ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH

Friday, August 4th the Fargo Force announced Force Alumni, Corey Leivermann, as Associate Head Coach.

Leivermann comes to the Force with 3 years of coaching experience in the USHL. Previously with the Madison Capitals. He served as Associate Head Coach from 2020-2022 helping lead the team to the first finals appearance in franchise history during the 2021-22 season. In 2022-23 Leivermann led the Capitols as GM/Head Coach. Prior to his time in the USHL he coached the Janesville Jets of the NAHL from 2017-2020, the Wichita Falls Wildcats of the NAHL & Jersey Shore Wildcats of the NA3HL in 2016-17.

"We are excited to get Corey back to Fargo and on the Coaching Staff, commented Force Head Coach, Brett Skinner. "He is someone who knows first-hand what it takes to put the Force jersey on as well as what it takes to lead being a former Force captain. On top of his playing career, he has risen through multiple ranks of hockey as a coach, including coaching the D core in Madison two seasons ago to the Clark Cup Finals. He will add a tremendous amount of experience to our organization. Corey's passion for player development and work ethic will be a great addition to our team, our players will be very lucky to have the opportunity to learn from him.

A native of Mankato, MN, Leivermann played for the Fargo Force in the team's inaugural season in 2008-2009 and led the team as Captain during the 2009-2010 season. While in Fargo Leivermann put up 28 goals and 29 assists for 77 points in 108 regular season games. He played 3 years of D1 College Hockey at Minnesota

State University Mankato, followed by his senior season at Gustavus Adolphus College. In 2014-15 Leivermann player for the Mississippi RiverKings of the SPHL

"My wife and I are thrilled to be returning to the Fargo area," said Leivermann. It is such a tremendous honor to be back in Fargo, coaching the Force. I have great memories of my time spent playing for the team in 2008-2010. I am grateful for Matt Cullen, Cary Eades, and Brett Skinner for allowing me this opportunity. I'm super excited to join the Force organization. I cannot wait to get started on this new challenge and chapter of my coaching career."
