The Fargo Force announced a trade with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders for their 2023 5
th Round Phase 1 Draft Pick in exchange for Force Forward Tyson Gross and a 2023 10
th Round Phase 1 Draft Pick.
In 23 games with the Force last season, Gross tallied 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 total points, as his year was cut short by a knee injury. The Calgary, AB native is now entering his final year of Jr. Hockey.
"It's always tough to move a good player and teammate like Tyson" commented Force GM, Cary Eades. "But we were in a bind with the upcoming roster limitation the USHL has for 20 year olds on a team. As of this week, we are only allowed four 2002 born players for the rest of this season, and we had five, so someone had to go. Tyson has worked extremely hard to recover from his season ending knee surgery from last year, and has been looking very good in practice all Fall. He will definitely help Cedar Rapids offense with his playmaking ability, and we wish him the best of luck with the RoughRiders".
The Fargo Force are back at home on Thursday, October 20 7:05PM for $2 Beer Night sponsored by Bud Light! For more information check out the Force Promotional Schedule
