Gruba, Swanson & Slukynsky earn League Awards

Mac Swanson Named 2024 USHL Player of the Year & Forward of the Year
University of North Dakota commit becomes first Fargo Force player to win either of those awards
The United States Hockey League (USHL) and the Fargo Force have announced that Mac Swanson has been named Player of the Year & Forward of the Year for the 2023-24 season. 
League awards are voted on by each member club's General Manager after each club nominates its players for awards. 
Swanson, who earlier was named USHL Forward of the Year and All-USHL First Team, generated 77 points on 26 goals and 51 assists in 55 games for the Anderson Cup-winning Fargo Force in 2023-24.
Committed to the University of North Dakota, Swanson led the USHL in assists, ranked third in points and tied for the top plus-minus rating in the League with a +39 mark in 2023-24. Swanson, who totalled a career-high seven points on three goals and four assists in a 12-4 win over Sioux Falls Feb. 9, was rated #152 in the final NHLCS Draft rankings.
Swanson, a native of Anchorage, Alaska, who helped Team USA win a bronze medal at this year's World Junior A Challenge, is the first Fargo Force player to be named USHL Player of the Year.


Hampton Slukynsky Named 2024 USHL Goaltender of the Year
Force netminder becomes third Fargo player to win award
The United States Hockey League (USHL) and the Fargo Force have announced that Hampton Slukynsky has been named Goaltender of the Year for the 2023-24 season. 
League awards are voted on by each member club's General Manager after each club nominates its players for awards. 
Committed to Northern Michigan University, Slukynsky led USHL goaltenders in wins with a 28-3-0-0 regular-season record with the Fargo Force this season. Slukynsky's 1.86 goals against average and .923 save percentage also led the League, as did his five shutouts.
 Slukynsky, a member of this year's All-USHL First Team who helped the Force to the Anderson Cup as the 2023-24 USHL regular-season champions, had a career-high 37 saves in a 2-1 win over Sioux Falls April 12.
 Named USHL Goaltender of the Week three times in 2023-24, Slukynsky was drafted in the fourth round (#118) by the Los Angeles Kings in 2023 and helped Team USA win a bronze medal at this year's World Junior A Challenge.
 Slukynsky, a Warroad, Minn., native joins Zack McIntyre (2012) and Mike Lee (2009) as Force players to be named USHL Goaltender of the Year.

Leo Gruba Named 2024 USHL Defenseman of the Year
Force standout becomes first Fargo player to win award
The United States Hockey League (USHL) and the Fargo Force have announced that Leo Gruba has been named Defenseman of the Year for the 2023-24 season. 
League awards are voted on by each member club's General Manager after each club nominates its players for awards. 
Committed to the University of Minnesota, Gruba completed the 2023-24 campaign leading all USHL defensemen in scoring with 57 points on 22 goals and 35 assists. His 22 goals were tops amongst all League blueliners and his 35 assists ranked second. The Lake Elmo, Minn., native led USHL defensemen with 185 shots on goal and ranked second with seven power play goals.
 Gruba, a member of this year's All-USHL First Team who was named USHL Defenseman of the Week three times during the course of the season, tied for the USHL plus-minus lead with a +39 mark in helping lead the Force to its second consecutive Anderson Cup title as USHL regular-season champions.
