5 FORCE PLAYERS NAMES TO ALL-USHL TEAMS

Swanson, Slunkynsky, Gruba, Plante & Boser Named to 2023-24 All-USHL Teams

Selected All-USHL First Team are forwards Mac Swanson (Fargo), Michael Hage (Chicago) and Matvei Gridin (Muskegon), defensemen Leo Gruba (Fargo) and Joona Vaisanen (Dubuque) along with goaltender Hampton Slukynsky (Fargo).
  • Mac Swanson generated 77 points on 26 goals and 51 assists in 55 games for the Anderson Cup-winning Fargo Force in 2023-24. The Anchorage, Alaska, native led the USHL in assists, ranked third in points and tied for the top plus-minus rating in the League with a +39 mark.  The University of North Dakota commit totalled seven points on three goals and four assists in a 12-4 win over Sioux Falls Feb. 9 and he was rated #152 in the final NHLCS Draft rankings. Swanson helped Team USA win a bronze medal at this year's World Junior A Challenge.
  • Leo Gruba completed the 2023-24 campaign leading all USHL defensemen in scoring with 57 points on 22 goals and 35 assists with the Fargo Force. His 22 goals were tops amongst all League blueliners and his 35 assists ranked second. Gruba, who was named USHL Defenseman of the Week three times during the course of the season, tied for the USHL plus-minus lead with a +39 mark. The University of Minnesota commit led USHL defensemen with 185 shots on goal and ranked second with seven power play goals.
  • Hampton Slukynsky led USHL goaltenders in wins with a 28-3-0-0 record with the Fargo Force this season. Committed to Northern Michigan, Slukynsky's 1.86 goals against average and .923 save percentage also led the League, as did his five shutouts. Named USHL Goaltender of the Week three times in 2023-24, Slukynsky was drafted in the fourth round (#118) by the Los Angeles Kings in 2023. Slukynsky helped Team USA win a bronze medal at this year's World Junior A Challenge.
Selected All-USHL Second Team are forwards Trevor Connelly (Tri-City), Zam Plante (Fargo) and Noah Powell (Dubuque), defensemen Ty Hanson (Sioux City) and Vladislav Lukashevich (Tri-City) along with goaltender Kevin Reidler (Dubuque).
  • Zam Plante racked up 71 points on 26 goals and 45 assists in 57 games played in helping the Fargo Force win the Anderson Cup as USHL regular-season champion this year. Plante, who helped Team USA win a bronze medal at this year's World Junior A Challenge, tied for seventh in points, ranked fourth in the League in assists and his 11 power play goal tied for seventh. A Minnesota-Duluth commit, Plante was drafted by Pittsburgh in 2022 (#150, fifth round).
Selected All-USHL Third Team are forwards Austin Burnevik (Madison), Jake Sondreal (Dubuque) and Sacha Boisvert (Muskegon), defensemen Michael Hagens (Chicago) and Brasen Boser (Fargo) along with goaltender Carsen Musser (Madison).
  • Brasen Boser had 37 points on seven goals and 30 assists in 61 games with the Fargo Force in 2023-24. Committed to Arizona State, Boser tied for sixth in points in the USHL amongst all defensemen and his 30 assists tied for sixth. His +36 rating ranked third amongst all skaters in the League this season.
