Purple-N-Pucks

The Fargo Force have announced that the previously named “Pink the Rink” promotion will be transformed this season to “Purple -N- Pucks”, sponsored by State Farm Agent Jill Henning. Purple -N- Pucks will be at Scheels Arena on Saturday, February 11 versus the Tri City Storm at 7:05 PM.

The decision to change the name of the promotion came when State Farm Agent Jill Henning, cancer survivor, chose (embrace) as the charity that she would like to support. The color purple is the universal color for cancer and represents all types that affect people today. (embrace) is a cancer survivorship program through Sanford that brings together cancer patients, family members and caregivers to help address the emotional, physical and practical effects of cancer on patients and their families.

“So many people are affected locally by cancer and we are fortunate to have programs like (embrace) available. It is so rewarding to be a part of something bigger than ourselves and bring the community together” said State Farm Agent, Jill Henning. “I hope everyone will come out for a fun night and support this amazing cause.”

The team will wear purple jerseys with a custom logo that will be auctioned off live following the game with 100% of the proceeds going to (embrace). State Farm Agent Jill Henning has also generously offered to donate $100 to (embrace) for each goal scored by the Fargo Force that night and the Force will match her total donation. There will also be exclusive Purple -N- Pucks merchandise available at Top Shelf, with 20% of each t-shirt sale being donated back to (embrace).

Dr. Shelby Terstriep, Medical Director of (embrace) said “We are thrilled that Purple -N- Pucks will be donating the proceeds to (embrace). This event highlights the importance of raising awareness and providing support for all types of cancer survivors. The money that is raised goes directly to programs and education that cancer survivors in our area feel they need.”

Tickets for Purple -N- Pucks, February 11 versus the Tri City Storm, are available at the Scheels Arena Box Office from 11am-5:30pm, by calling 701.364.3672 and at all Ticketmaster locations, by calling 800.745.3000 or online at ticketmaster.com.
