Purple-N-Pucks Helps Raise Over $25,000
The Fargo Force are proud to announce that the total donation raised for embrace during the Purple -N- Pucks event this past Saturday, was $25,504.80. This total includes 100% of the proceeds from the jersey auction, 20% of Purple -N- Pucks merchandise sold and the donation by State Farm Agent Jill Henning for $100 per goal scored (matched by the Fargo Force). The promotion drew the fourth-highest crowd at Scheels Arena this season with 4,460 fans in attendance and the jersey auction was the highest the team has seen in their four year history with 12 jerseys going for more than $1,000.
State Farm Agent Jill Henning was the game sponsor on Saturday night and chose to support the embrace program. “I could not be happier about the success of the Purple-N-Pucks game and so proud to have been able to partner with the Fargo Force on the event. It was great to see so many come out to watch the game and generously support cancer awareness and the embrace program,” said Jill. “It proves yet again what can be accomplished when people join together for a common cause.”
The embrace program was notified on Monday morning the amount of money raised on Saturday. “We are truly shocked—and extremely excited—upon hearing the total amount of money that was raised at Purple-N-Pucks on Saturday,” said in a joint quote by Shelby Terstriep, embrace Medical Director & Jenna Linder, embrace Program Coordinator. “The embrace team is already brainstorming ideas for services and programs that could be implemented this year from the money that was raised. Being a part of this event has been a wonderful experience and we hope this partnership continues for years to come! Thank you!”
The Fargo Force hit the road this weekend to Iowa where they will take on the Waterloo Blackhawks on Friday and the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Saturday. The team currently sits just 4 points out of second place in the Western Conference.
