The Fargo Force announce that defenseman Taylor Fleming has committed to play collegiate hockey at the Air Force Academy following his junior hockey career.
Fleming, a Waconia, MN native, is set to begin his second year with the Fargo Force. During his rookie season with the team last year he played in 55 games posting 10 points with 3 goals and 7 assists. He was also recognized for his outstanding work within the community with the 2011-12 Community Service Award presented at the end of the season at the player awards banquet.
“What I was looking for in a college was the full package”, said Fleming. “Air Force has great academics there. You are basically set for life when you graduate. That was one of the things that I liked about the school. The scholarship was also helpful so that it was affordable for me and my family and they have a really good hockey team there. They have become one of the top teams in the country over the last few years. It was just the full package for me.”
Fleming looks to join former Fargo Force defenseman, Dan Weissenhofer (2010-11) at Air Force who will be a sophomore this upcoming season.
