The Fargo Force coaching staff has made the final cuts following the 2012 USHL Fall Classic which took place last week in Sioux City, IA. The team went 0-3 in the tournament losing to the Lincoln Stars, Chicago Steel and Green Bay Gamblers.
Five players were released from the team on Friday night, two of which were former players from last season: Pavel Zykov, Jay Dickman, Emil Romig, Austin Adduono and Andrew Pikul.
Pavel Zykov, a forward who played in 20 games during the 2011-12 season putting up 2 points with 1 goal and 1 assist, was released. The Tumen, Russia product will head to Coulee Region in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) for this upcoming season.
Another player to be released from last season’s roster was forward Jay Dickman who played in 12 games for the team following his high school season last year. The St. Paul, MN native posted 5 points with 5 assists in his time with the team. Dickman will play with Austin in the NAHL for the 2012-13 season.
Other players released were newcomers Emil Romig (forward)-Corpus Christie NAHL, Austin Adduono (forward)-Trail BCHL and Andrew Pikul (goaltender)-Odessa NAHL.
